We met Liz at the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) conference last year and it was brilliant to get to hear from her about how Preptrack is being used in their practice. Liz is a Consultant in Sexual Health and Clinical Lead for the Saint Helen’s Sexual Health Service in Merseyside, she’s also the BASHH HIV and Blood Born Virus Secretary. Liz has added Preptrack to the information and advice that her service provides to patients and finds it particularly helpful for people starting on event-based PrEP.

A look at the latest UK HIV stats: A growing need for women to get on PrEP

HIV continues to be a challenge in the UK and, according to the latest government report, a wider range of people need to take steps to be aware of the risks and how PrEP can help prevent HIV transmission. In particular, the report shows that women are now at increasing risk of being diagnosed and could benefit from finding out about PrEP. Learn more about PrEP The UK’s annual report on HIV, PrEP and PEP is a valuable insight into sexual health in the UK and is helping to drive progress towards the national goal of eliminating new HIV infections by 2030.

Yet, the LGBTQ+ community - through protest, campaign and advocacy - have led the fightback against HIV, pressing for changes that ultimately benefit everyone and bringing us within sight of the goal to end the epidemic by 2030.

Introducing Preptrack for Android: Cyflwyno Preptrack ar gyfer Android

Today we’re making our biggest update to Preptrack since we first launched in June 2021. Thanks to support from Public Health Wales (PHW) in relation to their HIV Action Plan, Preptrack is now available for Android as well as iPhone. We’ve been working towards this day for a long time and we’re very excited that Preptrack will now be able to help many more people to stay on top of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention.

NEWS: Public Health Wales funding enables expansion of HIV PrEP medication tracker, Preptrack, in multiple languages including Welsh

Free Preptrack app supports use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), which can reduce HIV infection risk by up to 99% Preptrack is now available on Android and iPhone in English, Welsh, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish and Romanian thanks to support from Public Health Wales (PHW) PrEP must be taken regularly to be effective, Preptrack provides reminders that aims to support better PrEP adherence. Preptrack also provides access to reliable guidance and HIV prevention information 28 Sept 2022, Cardiff, Wales - Funding from Public Health Wales has meant that an app designed to help PrEP users take their medication more effectively, is now available on Android and in multiple languages, including Welsh.

This is why we’re pleased that Preptrack is now available in 5 new languages, so even more people can use it. You can change what language you view Preptrack in by going to the settings menu. We want to thank Dr Piero Toto and the BA Translation students at London Metropolitan University for supporting us by preparing these translations.
