What is PrEP?

PrEP is a pill that you can take that provides protection against HIV infection. Anyone who is HIV negative can benefit from taking PrEP. To stay protected, you have to keep taking pills regularly. If you take PrEP correctly, it is more than 99% effective at preventing HIV infections. There are different ways to take PrEP and the free Preptrack app helps you keep track of your PrEP use so you know when you’re protected.

Preptrack is a free app that can help to make it easier to take PrEP. It can help you to find valuable information when you need it and automatically sends you reminders when it’s time to take a PrEP pill. You can also check it anytime to see whether you’re protected.

Yes. It’s free and easy to use, and you can get started right away.

Is Preptrack available in other languages?

Preptrack is currently available in English, Welsh, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish and Romanian. If you can help us to create new translations then get in touch.

Can I get Preptrack outside the UK?

Currently Preptrack is only available through UK app stores. We are working to launch in other countries while ensuring we continue to provide the same quality of relevant information in each location. Wherever possible we are keen to work with local organisations, get in touch if you would like to work together.

Is Preptrack safe?

Preptrack does not provide medical information and you should always consult a sexual health specialist before starting PrEP. All information is stored and processed on your device so you are the only one with access to it.

What does Preptrack do with my data?

Nothing. Preptrack does not collect your information. You can choose to share app use data to help us improve the app, but we have no access to information about your PrEP use or sexual activities.
